We are a PR and marketing agency that gives clients a competitive edge through imaginative communications - we take what our clients want to say or do, and then re-imagine it in a way that engages with end users and stakeholders, be it a simple press release or devising and implementing an eye-catching art installation.
This picture shows our Umbrella Sky installation at Clifford's Tower (English Heritage) in York - we came up with this initiative to reaffirm the message that York remained open for business despite national news reports about heavy flooding in 2012, and so help boost the Tower’s profile. We designed, created and installed the art installation of brightly coloured umbrellas with the aim of using the initiative to generate unusual photo opportunities – and it did, with photo features in many national newspapers, TV and radio coverage as well as and in ‘World News’ sections of international news websites from Dublin to Los Angeles. The images captured even helped some of the photographers achieve national awards. Umbrella Sky was a perfect blend of an art installation designed to secure PR coverage and to drive visitors, and it succeeded on all accounts. This campaign was a finalist in the marketing award category at the 2013 Visit York Tourism Awards.
We are so proud of this project that a big canvas of Umbrella Sky hangs on our office wall. We've even been commissioned to create a similar installation in the Coppergate Centre, working with York BID. The Coppergate installation was photographed thousands of times, and was shared widely on social media in Autumn 2017, driving footfall into the shopping centre by day and night.
