To celebrate its 30th anniversary, we turned the Festival into a ‘countdown to the apocalypse’, a 100-day countdown to Ragnarok - the end of the world - that attracted global attention from October 2013 until the end of the Festival in February 2014.

Plans for 2016, the festival’s 11th year, included original co-commissions with York Minster and the National Railway Museum, but no headline promotional story or single theme.
